Seattle in the Summer

My family tries to visit Washington state just about every year.  This year, we had a great time boating to Seattle and going on a little adventure to the mountains as well!  During the trip, my brother Jonah was in Indonesia on a surfing/mission trip and my dad was working.  So, sadly, we were missing a couple of the clowns of our circus.

I recently had a birthday and my hope was to buy a new film camera because my last one wouldn't cooperate anymore.  My awesome parents made it happen just in time for the trip!  I'm really happy with how all the pictures turned out!

After doing some reading on photography in Seattle, I realized I wanted to try something new: street photography.  There was no better place to learn the ropes than Pike Place Market!

It's always fun to spend time on my grandparents' boat.  It's all cozy and welcoming inside.  Apparantly, my grandparents lived on the boat for three years.

After boating to and from Seattle, our next stop was the mountains.  Luke's favorite part of the trip, the mountain expedition was filled with adventure and a lot of biriding.

We helped my grandpa clear the yard at the Cabin and happily used all the leftover wood to build a camp fire.

Since it was summer, we didn't get the chance to snowboard like we usually would.  With a treehouse and a river right off the doorstep, we didn't mind going without the snow.

Now, we're back home, enjoing the tropical side of the West.
